World Rhino Day

Today, the 22nd September, is World Rhino Day!  It is a day to remember one of our Big Five!
It is a day to celebrate all five species of rhino’s found in Africa and Asia, namely:
  1. Black Rhino
  2. White Rhino
  3. Greater One-Horned Rhino
  4. Sumatran Rhino
  5. Javan Rhino
Rhinos
The day to create awareness of these beautiful animals.  We don’t want them to become extinct, so we need to do everything in our power to make people aware of them.
World Rhino Day was first announced by WWF-South Africa in 2010.  It has since grown into an international success, thanks to the efforts of two determined women, Lisa Jane Campbell of Chishakwe Ranch in Zimbabwe and Rhishia’s blog.  They found that they both shared a common goal of making World Rhino Day, a day of celebrating for these five rhino species.
The day has grown into a global phenomenon, uniting NGO’s, zoos, cause-related organisations, businesses and concerned people from all corners of the earth.
At GBCreative Business Solutions we try to do our best to promote the awareness of the rhinos.  They are one of our favourite animals.  We love the look of them and think that they are such graceful and strong animals.
What can you do to help them?
